“Fashion is temporary – Style is Eternal”
Today’s modern woman plays to a larger audience, whether it’s in your career, in doing community work, or in your own business. Your personal style is influenced by everything in your life, from your job, to your financial situation, to religious or moral beliefs and body type. The key of course, is to combine all of these things and blend them in a way that sends the right message about your abilities, your brand, your goals and destinations, and your personal style!
Here are 10+1 Realities about Personal Style. In this post, we’ll highlight the first Four:
1. Style is a Celebration about Uniqueness
Uniqueness means Original never having occurred or existed before; it means Authentic – being genuine or real; it means Firsthand – From the original producer or source; it means un-copied and unprecedented – nothing has preceded it. A unique style is about setting yourself apart and becoming a different kind of woman.
2. Style is the Sum of Many Connecting Parts
The way you dress, the way you walk, the way you talk, the colors you pick, and even how you deal with other people. Personal style shows how effectively you are able to communicate your unique identity to others. The personal style that you project symbolizes a healthy state of mind. It’s the visible expression of how you feel about yourself.
3. Style is Contagious and Irresistible
The definition of contagious means to be transmittable by direct or indirect contact. A better meaning for these purposes is ‘communicable’. In other words, your personal style is transmitted to everyone you come in contact with.
4. Style is How we Express our Spirit and Self-image
Both your spirit and your self-image are developed and expressed from the ‘inside-out’. This self-realization gives off an elevated aura of power, assurance, creativity, intricacy and a deep desire to grow. How you present yourself to the world is an indication of the great strength that lies within you
Personal style is having a sense of knowing who you are and how to express your personality through your clothing and your actions. When this style consciousness is perfected, it becomes a tool that is extremely useful in all aspects of life. Realize that you DO have personal style, even if you don’t know it yet.
